What is an Eternaview?
Eternaview.com is a technology platform that allows you to record an Eternaview, or interview, of yourself and invite others to view the recording. Unlike a traditional video recording, however, the viewer can interact with the Eternaview multiple ways.
The first way – and this is the real magic – the viewer can just ask a question like they would in a normal conversation. Alternatively, if the viewer prefers, they can also type in their question. Then, our natural language platform, through AI, retrieves the best answers from the recorded interview. The viewer also has the option to just click among a list of questions that the creator can respond to.
Is the interaction with a real human or is it some sort of avatar or deepfake?
An Eternaview is not an avatar or deepfake. The responses given to a viewer are the actual recordings made by a human – they won’t cover everything but there’s plenty in terms of personal info, relationship goals, career, and so much more. We utilize AI to enable this interactivity, but it is intended to remain a very human experience.
Is Eternaview an end-to-end dating app?
No and that’s by design to save you time and effort.
Instead, Eternaview lets you create an interactive videos that you can share directly with potential matches on any platform you prefer. By focusing on providing you with a powerful tool rather than a closed network, we eliminate the barriers that often make new dating apps ineffective.
Is Eternaview integrated with any other dating apps?
No, it’s not. On the one hand that can limit where you can share your Eternaview on certain dating apps (in some cases only after you both “swipe right”). But we believe this is more than offset by the flexibility to use it across the multiple dating apps you may now be on or will be in the future. It also permits you to share it across social media and other forums.
So how do I share my Eternaview?
You will be provided a link to your Eternaview that can be shared. There is no single set way to share it.
Some dating apps will allow you to share a link in your profile section, enabling you to share it before you both swipe right. Sometimes it’s only practical or most timely afterwards. Of course you can also introduce it in your your profile indirectly, and make your profile more intriguing by adding something like “Feel free to ask if you’d like to chat with my interactive video!”
You can also share mention of and a link to your Eternaview through social media, although you’ll have to use your own discretion as to what you want to post publicly, what belongs just in a DM to someone, etc.
If you have the potential recipient’s email, you can also send them an invite to view your Eternaview (similar to just sharing a link).
Or maybe you have a friend that will share it with one of their friends or acquaintances to help judge if there’s a potential match.
Will my Eternaview or other people's Eternaviews be visible publicly on Eternaview.com?
Eternaviews are primarily intended to be shared privately through the methods described in the previous answer, and then potential matches can respond back to you through those other channels.
We do include a handful of public samples on the site in order to give visitors a sense of how the service works, however, we encourage most creators to leave their Eternaview at the default private setting.
What is appropriate or inappropriate for an Eternaview?
You want to put your best foot forward and let people get to know you. Honesty is better than deceit, but an Eternaview is also probably not the place to reveal bombshells and certainly anything R-rated. While your Eternaview may be private on our website, it’s not practical for us to block people screen recording your video or otherwise prevent pieces of it making its way to the eyes and ears of people you’d rather not see it.
How hard is it to create one?
We’ve tried to make the process as simple as possible and have it work across the webcams/cameras of most computers and mobile devices. You can skip anything that is irrelevant or uncomfortable to answer. You can also take a break anytime or edit any of your answers at a later date.
How long it will take you depends largely on how many of the ~100 questions you answer – the more you answer, the richer the conversation. So it could be anywhere from only 30 minutes, if you limit your number of answers and nail everything on the first take, to a few hours if you answer almost everything, are very talkative, or like to do re-takes.
But loneliness is… well, lonely. It stinks. And your romantic life is worth it – we really think putting effort into an Eternaview can increase your odds of finding a match.
Is this the same thing as an AI boyfriend or girlfriend?
Absolutely not. Loneliness stinks and we’re not judging folks who look to an AI companion of some sort. But this is not that. A human being cared for by another human, who is giving the other a portion of their finite time on this earth, is just so much more special (in our minds anyway). An Eternaview is an interactive interview of an actual person and is just intended to help bring two humans together.
Is Eternaview a web app or is it a native mobile app?
Eternaview.com/home-dating/ is technically a web app. This approaches allows your Eternaview to be shared and used across just about all devices.
How do I connect with someone if I like their Eternaview?
Reach out to them wherever they first notified you of their Eternaview (dating app, social media, through a friend, etc.)
